I recently bought a camera bag/purse to handle two dsl camera systems. The purse is quite heavy loaded with multiple bodies and lenses. I needed a quality shoulder strap pad to allow me to carry the bag for long periods of time in a cross-shoulder bag position and it had to closely approximate the quality of the leather of the bag and its color. I got the larger shoulder pad. It attached easily and perfectly to the 1-1/2" strap and it is padded. It also has a suede lining underneath to help with slippage. This is exactly what I needed. Could not be happier.
My Native Sons guitar strap is beautiful and permits more flexibility in adjusting the fit to the guitar than most of my leather straps. However, I use a Music Nomad strap lock on the end pin for the pick up. It provides a separate attachment for the strap the cable to plug in. The leather end of the strap is just a tad too wide for this to work easily. Good news, the leather is soft enough that it will fold back enough to get plugged in.
The strap pad is well made and works for my needs but seems overpriced for what you actually get.
